Project Description

2021-02 Private Water Service Line Project #76 Bid Tabulation

The project consists of the following work:
This project involves installation of approximately 685 LF of 4-inch DI pipe to replace private services installed in an existing private road and utility easement. The project includes installation of a temporary 2-inch HDPE above ground waterline in order to provide water service during installation of the permanent 4-inch water main. All seven water services will be relocated from Holmes Point Drive NE to within the easement limits along the private road.

This project also includes installation of one blowoff assembly, one 4-inch gate valve, abandoning in place seven existing water services on Holmes Point Drive NE, reconstruction of the existing private road, a full width overlay of Holmes Point Drive, and landscape and surface restoration as necessary to restore the site to existing conditions.

Approximate locations of the proposed improvements are shown on the project construction plans.

The engineer’s construction cost estimate is $349,000.00 including sales tax.

This online plan room provides Bidders with fully usable online documents with the ability to: download, view, print, order full/partial plan sets from numerous reprographic sources, and a free online digitizer/take-off tool. It is recommended that Bidders “Register” in order to receive automatic email notification of future addenda and to place themselves on the “Self-Registered Bidders List”. Bidders that do not register will not be automatically notified of addenda and will need to periodically check the on-line plan room for addenda issued on this project. Each bid must be submitted on the “Proposal” forms provided in Section 5 of the “Specifications, Proposal and Contract Documents” and shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in the form of a surety bond, postal money order, cashier’s check or certified check made payable to King County Treasurer, King County, Washington for a sum of not less than 5 per cent of the total bid. A bid shall not be considered unless accompanied by such bid proposal deposit.

CONTRACT AWARD
A contract or contracts, if awarded, will be based upon the lowest responsive and responsible bid or bids as defined in more detail in the bid documents.

Northshore Utility District reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to delete portions or all of the work, to substitute alternative bid item prices for base bid item prices, to waive any informality in bidding, and to make the award deemed to be in the best interest of the District.

Proposals received after the time announced for the opening will not be considered. No bidder may withdraw its bid after the time announced for the opening or before the award and execution of the contract(s) unless the award is delayed for a period exceeding sixty (60) calendar days.

Notice is hereby given that Northshore Utility District (“District”) will receive sealed bids for the following construction project. Bids will be received at the District office, located at 6830 – NE 185th Street, Kenmore, Washington, by mail or other courier up to the hour of 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 14, 2021. A District Representative will accept bids by hand delivery from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at the main entrance of the District Office, after which all bids will be publicly opened and read to determine the apparent lowest bidder. Due to COVID-19, the public bid opening will be conducted remotely and bidders may attend the Bid Opening online by using this link or by dialing into the conference call at the phone number listed below.
